I have recently had a Urostomy and would like to use a leg bag to drain it into but I have not yet found anything suitable.
I am a full time wheelchair user and I have been using Simpla Trident Adjustable tube leg bags and I find that when I am getting ready the tube is not long enough for me to lay back and both the bag and the leg bag disconnect.
Has anyone found or uses another leg bag that they have had success with?
Any information would be appreciated as this is all new to me and I have had a few accidents already with this happening.

Please feel free to PM me if this suits better.

Thanks in advance

Hi

I got the urostomy sorted 13 or 14 years ago, although it keeps everything free from the groin area, it is a pain having to hit the toilet every few minutes, especially when there is a lot of fluid intake, with the urostomy you need to drink plenty.
I have yet to find anything that works as a leg bag, purely because how easy the bag can disconnect.
Good luck though in locating something

Thanks John

I know what you mean about it being a real pain as I am fairly active well was up until I had the Urostomy but now I am worried about everything all over again.

I will let you know how I get on and if I do manage to get any success

Cheers

Heya DJ

No need to be worried about it, you will find ways around it, when out n the car just carry a night bag in case you get caught short.
One of the main times I get caught is at the gym, you can imagine taking in 4 litres of water and training for 3 hours, I'm in and out of the toilet like a blue arsed fly, check out hollister to see if they have anything to suit.

regards

longer tubing or extension tubing (typically used for nighttime drainage)?
downside is you'd have to coil it up a few times under your pants once you are in your final seated position
