We're in the neurological/brain/neurons unit in biology class today and we literally just spent an hour and a half in my class talking about spinal cord injuries. Interesting. It actually was interesting to hear about all this stuff that I mostly already knew, except it was presented in a different way, it wasn't all "this is what's happening to you" like it was when I learned about all the SCI stuff the first time around, it was just "this is what happens when someone has a spinal cord injury."

And now everyone is asking me questions on our homework. :mfromg:

It was actually really interesting though. Just thought I'd share that little bit with you all.

Kate,
Your experience really struck a chord with me, but in a different way. From having a very good high school biology class, I was able to diagnose my injury in a few minutes after my accident. I was mare certain that the doc, who initially examined me. Although I knew it was an sci, I did not have a clue as to the long term implications. If you are interested, you can check out part of my life story at:

Don't you wish that all your courses were as interesting?

Best wishes,
