Citizens of Missouri visit http://www.missouricures.com We need your help.
If you're not a citizen of Missouri check out this link anyway to learn something about what's going on in our state right now.
I've been a Missouri resident all my life but I've only been paralyzed for about two years. Regardless of how long I've been in this condition I can proudly say I've been a supporter of stem cell research since I first heard of the concept. What's going down right now in the state of Missouri is history in the making. This political battle is reflective of two things:
1. is the great scientific advances our world is making toward hope for millions of people with numerous disorders and disabilities.
2. is the abundance of close minded, uneducated, self-motivated, and/or uncaring politicians and citizens that are making the search for a cure that much more difficult.
Basically what's going on is that the state of Missouri is trying to decide whether or not to allow its citizens to vote on stem cell research in our state. If 150,000 signatures are not collected by the end of April Missouri politicians, of which the majority are anti-stem cell conservatives, will decide for us. I'm trying to sound as neutral as possible when I say that whatever the outcome the people need the right to vote.
I think the majority would agree that that's what our country was founded on.
