How to Look Good Naked... With a Difference

Gok meets single-mum Tracy Warren from Leicestershire, who has been using a wheelchair since 2007. Tracy truly believes her body is disgusting, hates her stomach ,legs and thinks she can never look sexy in a wheelchair. Gok has never styled a women who uses a wheelchair before, so it proves as much a learning curve for him as it does Tracy.

Can Gok help Tracy feel sexy enough to wheel down the runway in front of thousands?

Thanks for that info Simon, must make a point of watching the programme. I met Gok just before Christmas when he was in Dublin to pick a new model with a fuller figure, I must say he was charming and had time for everyone.

Either that or make soap!

(The human body has enough fat to produce 7 bars of soap by the way - I checked out the figures you sent me, don't worry- no one will notice that you're trying to fatten GB up)

I thought it was a great programme. There's no way I could get naked in front of all those people.

I'm looking forward to seeing the other shows to see whether he works with some people who have more structural differences. I love Gok Wan and want a Goked wheelchair like he gave Tracy!

I loved it, although I was in tears at the beginning. Some useful tips too. I might even be tempted to wear a skirt now, He seems really lovely, he was funny and treated her like a normal person! he has so much positive energy, Id love to see more like that!

It was good, and covered lots of issues really well and comfortably without you wanting to gag.

Made me think a lot about what I wear - usually way too much black to hide away under.

A skirt? Well, the last time I wore one was 1987 and thats the only one since my accident in '82.

Perhaps I ought to expand my boundaries.

Well done Gok & Channel 4.

Wish I could wear a skirt. It would make taking a leak a whole lot easier.

programme was interesting, as for the skirts if i was a slim petite size 10 like tracey, yes i probably would, but all it did for me was to make me want to cover up even more, might have been more effective if they'd used a larger person, might have given more of us some confidence, but i'm glad tracey had the chance to do the show and get her confidence back, but i must admit i do envy her the wheelchair she got!! come on gok can i have one too?!!
it wasnt me, i didnt do it, no one saw me so they cant prove a thing!

I think Gok is the best man for the job on this one! And I think all disabled changing rooms should look like tracy's own personal one. Think it just down to what looks good, flatters your shape and a bit of confidence. If you think you look good then it rubs off!
Everything will be alright in the end, if it's not alright then it's not the end!

Why do these programmes always have to be about females?
Just because I'm an old man doesn't mean I cant, or don't want to dress well.
Maybe it makes better TV if its a female. :censored:

Scibbler I actually wondered the exact same thing but I think the its the majority of females who have hang ups over their bodies!

I believe he's done one similar but for us men and it's due to be aired next month. I'll post again when I hear for sure. But come off it Scribbs, looking at the pic you posted are you really in need of a fashion guru? ;)

I don't know about a fashion guru, but it might show how difficult it is to buy nice clothes for a wheelchair user.
Its easy to buy shirts and jumpers, but its difficult to buy nice coats etc.
The coat I was wearing in that photo is a Car Coat, which I had shortened. I also have a double breasted coat in black.
I look forward to discovering if he does a men's show, although I expect the word "Naked" in the title makes people watch.

well done lucydog, i'll get there one day, just gotta lose a little more weight first! did actually try a skirt on today in john lewis loved the material so my friend persuaded me to try it, but i didnt like how it hung in the chair so didnt buy it, mind you my carer did point out that maybe i should have tried it without still having my jeans on!! but wasnt convinced enough to make it worth all the effort. i'llkeep looking i promise!!

I have a gorgeous collection of skirts that I need to drop four more sizes in order to fit into again. I'm a little bit apprehensive though - my body confidence isn't great, but it isn't crap either. However, I'm not sure about wearing one with a leg brace, or while I use my chair (which I do almost always at work, long distances, etc). Besides, if I wear skirts, then I'll get the crazy idea of wearing the matching 4" heeled shoes that match.
I am a palm tree - I bend, but do not break, in the winds and storms.
