what do you do to relieve constant sacral/butt discomfort and pain?

Anything else besides pressure relief, getting in bed, using roho and standing frame or am I outta luck?

I feel I can only sit comfortably for 1.5 hours until I get squirmy and 2 hours until I'm desperate for relief

maybe try some of the roho-like cushions that map the pressure relief? Kind of like an advanced donut. When you are able to get more exercise an get some MUSCLE on that butt it will help. You are not doomed...

doom do do doom,
do do do doom,

as far as cushions I hated my ROHO the idiot from the wheelchair store said it was the most popular i told him thats dumb to say since 90% of the people using them cant feel there butt!! I tried several others and found i like one of the cheaper ones. I got the invacare with foam and gel top that is molded. But if you want to guarrantee comfort get your therapist to do pressure mapping. Also for a bed i have a memory foam which is the most comfortable bed i have ever slept on. Its a little soft which makes it harder to sit up in but I can sleep for hours on my back and dont need to be rotated due to not having pressure spots from springs. the memory foam forms to your body.
