I had a rep from a company come out to my office looking to meet with our staff and inservice us on a device that delivers TO2 (topical oxygen). I guess it works much like a hyperbaric chamber for oxygen delivery to wounds, but it's placed directly to the specific wound site.
Has anyone heard of or tried this mode therapy? Success or failure??

My bf has chronic wounds that have not responded well to conventional treatments. Since it's non-invasive, and treatment is done in your own home, I figure my bf has nothing to lose and everything to gain by trying it.

Hi Deb, was talking to Doctor who has hyperbaric chamber here in Dublin, according to him this is very good for pressure sores. It seems like your boyfriend has nothing to lose by trying this, anything is worth a try. Good luck to him if he decides to go for it, and keep us posted.

I guess it works on the same principal as hyperbaric, delivering oxygen to the wound, but it is applied only to a wound site. Somewhat like a wound vac is applied with a dressing, this is like a "bag" if you will, that overs the site and then an oyxgen source is attached to the dressing and the plastic bag inflates.
Hopefully we'll learn more and if he gives it a try, I'll keep you posted.
