not me mac, but my spasticity hangs on for awhile. To date I don't get dysreflexia.

I do sometimes. I was told this could be because of hemorrhoids. It doesn't happen often, but when it does sitting in a hot bath helps. Of course I can't have it too hot because that also brings on AD! :H2kOther (26):

Hi Mac

My husband has had this and it's usually because the person doing the bowels is over stimulating and so causing the A.D to develop. He always has mild A.D but if someone knows what they are doing and have been properly trained in a spinal unit (U.K) it shouldn't happen.

It could also be due to hemmeroids (spelling!) as has already been mentioned. There are some suppositories that can be inserted the night before to help, also there is a product called Instilagel which is applied just before. A kind of local anasthetic.

I hope you get it sorted as it's a real downer.
