It was just a thought that crossed my mind. There are so many of you that live in places that i've always wanted to visit and vacation to. Some bigger cities here in the states and a lot overseas. For example Ireland and australia. A lot of you may think i'm crazy, but if the world were a safer place (crazy people wise) wouldn't it be so much fun to take a trip to all these fine places? I mean, say someone in new york is curious about louisiana, lord forbid lol, and they wanna come down and see what it's all about. If someone like me wanted to see austrailia, i could make a trip there wherever you guys are. South africa, UK, all these different places. If we all had more trust in one another I think that would be just the coolest thing ever. A bunch of handicaps getting out to see the world!!! Meet a friend, save hotel/car money, and see a new place and have a new experience. I'm just crazy like that i guess, i just wanna see the world, always have.

There are some people that live near disney world, ummm...hello, i wanna go!!! lol, just thought it could be a cool idea to talk over anyways...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Well, i guess i have a lot of money saving ahead of me. But seriously. Who knows the needs of SCI people as well as we do? Other than the fact that you would be meeting a COMPLETE STRANGER, whats the risk/harm? lol, at least you SHOULD feel comforatable w/ someone who knows what you need and how to help or deal w/ it. And hopefully knows where to go and how to have fun! I know i don't live in a place many would like to visit, but it's still a cool idea, i think!!!

Haha.......here is my chance lol. I live 45 minutes from Disney and Sea-World then 2 hours from Bush Guardens and 45 minutes from Daytona Beach. I just went to the monster truck rally this past saturday....watch it on speed and you might see me in the crowd

But on a serious note it would be awsome to travel the world!

I want to see Australia one day.

wow, no wonder you get to get out and have some fun. You really have everything at your fingertips. I have nothing around here but a bunch of auto part stores a walmart and some churches. Actually where i live is 15 miles north of the one parish that has the most churches in the state. So, not a lot going on around here, we don't even get all the movies at our theatre because the penticoastals won't allow it!

I wanna see australia too!

I am very gifted to live where I do and I have to try to always keep that in mind. I just got approved by VR so my van will be set up for me to drive in a few weeks so no more asking for rides WOOT!

Then its back to work and I can start saving for future trips or home mods.

Only thing with traveling for quads is having to pay a nurse to come with.

Disney is very cool when you are in a chair-you get treated like a star.

I have thought of an all wheelchair cruise-its save and you can meet other people in chairs.

Be save

I think that would be pretty cool personally. An all wheelchair cruise. No awkwardness at least!!

Hehe! I'm just picturing Twisted Ophelia and the others who have removed their wheel locks, on a cruise in a rough sea! Good way to get an upper body work-out, but not a lot of fun .............and plenty of :D

GB - that is funny!! We took a cruise to the Bahama's for our honeymoon and I would love to go on another one. I have wondered how it would be now in a chair? Still fun I think I just don't know about the accessibility of ports. Guess it would depend on where you went.

I would love to do Disney again too. We went on our honeymoon and then we went when my oldest child was 4. We are going to take all the kids again when our baby is older. Now that should get some stares, 6 children and the mom in a wheelchair! (Yes, I already hear "no wonder why your in a wheelchair!" remark) If they only knew how those little cuties of mine actually help their momma!

Perfect vacation for someone wanting the ultimate vacation bible school.

I'd just tie some part of my chair off to something and enjoy the ride
