Sky is blue
Clouds n rain have blown away
Sunny so cal is shining bright
Get out that bed, take a roll outside
Enjoy your day and the crisp clean air
You know what to do with your night...
Happy B-Day Bro!

I just got back from an initial consultation today at UCLA Hospital, a reputable medical center here in Los Angeles. The doctor, a lowly Neurologist, admittedly not knowing anything regarding SCI, asked me why I was referred to him specifically, and not a neurosurgeon?
I looked at him, totally befuddled and told him that his cheif, head honcho-top dog, of the Neurology department sent me here. I suppose this is the way it always goes when I'm introduced to a new team of doctors, that they should start me off with the most clueless first. Then, slowly but surely I'll be sent higher and higher up the ladder of pomp and froth.
So it is, my next visit will be in a month or so with the next guy up the wrung. But it just so happens that this time, for some reason I have a little more optimism that these guys will know what's up with me.
And through it all, I've come on here two to three times a day to do nothing more than get a better understanding of myself, my new world, and others around me who share the same trials and tribulations. I've read, learned, and grown from you all.
Thanks everyone! Oh yeah, baby back pork ribs with Jack Daniels sauce on my b-day with friends and family over. It was a VERY GOOD DAY!
