I'm an AB girl. My boyfriend is C5/C6 complete (26 years). When we get to bed, Jay lays on his left side. I prop one pillow under his left calf, then a pillow (or 2) under his right calf area. This is so his feet won't touch the bed or his foot wont touch the other foot. I also have to bend his legs up as close as I can get them comfotably, to his stomach, so he wont have spasm's.
This is what he told me has to be done. I'm new at this. So I do what I can to make him comfortable.
My question is: Is there a more comfortable way to do this? Is there an easier way?

As of now, he lays on his left side due to a pressure sore he has on his right side, lower back. Otherwise, we lay him in bed on his back, then put some pilows beneath his calves to keep them upright.
Is there an easier way to do this, for his sake?
Life is good....

It's a very familiar scenario . . .
After all this time he has figured out which sleeping positions do work best for him, so all I can add is the foll: any way to up his spasm meds before bed ?
It's hard to be Good, when you're born to be Bad !

After 26 years, he probably knows exactly what will feel most comfortable for him and keep his nighttime spasms to a minimum. Positioning for sleep can be very specific to the individual, both in terms of how a person's body is positioned and how different body parts react to being in contact with bedding and such. I worked for a quadriplegic man years ago who had me position cardboard boxes between and on either side of his feet so that the blankets would "tent" over them -- if covers landed on his toes, his feet and legs would spasm off and on all night. Sounds like your guy knows what's working for him -- might seem a bit awkward at first, but that will change for you the more you do it.
