Depends.

Internal? External? How big? How long you had them? etc, etc.

Hemmorhoids are just a blood vessel that has ruptured, scarred up, and is now accumulating blood.. the new goods is that it will go away in a few days/weeks..

The bad news,, once you get one, b/c its scar tissue-ish,, (not sure of exact term or wording) it will always be an issue and likely to flare up again and again over your lifetime.

If it/they doesn't show any signs of shrinking soon, get medical advice. They can often be treated with a little rubber band. Sounds fun, don't it? :) But I'm told it isn't that bad.

Added :: ......and avoid constipation.

Witch Hazel is extremely effective. For internal H's soak a bit of paper towel, insert it in the rectum after bowel program, and leave it there. It will stick out a bit.
Look! It's a snail! It's a sloth! Able to creep short distances before lunch!

Have you actually been diagnosed by a doctor?

The reason I ask, is because rectal bleeding can also be caused by Colorectal polyps.
