Last night, I thought one of the coolest parts of the opening ceremonies of the Olympics was when Rick Hansen, a former Paralympian who's a paraplegic, carried the torch into the stadium for the beginning of the torch-lighting part. He just came wheeling down the ramp into the stadium and he was just beaming, it was super awesome. Anyone else watch the opening ceremonies last night?

Rick Hansen has certainly been instrumental in raising awareness for spinal cord injury and has dedicated the last 25 years to finding a cure and improving the lives of those living with SCI. It was great seeing him come into the stadium. HOWEVER, I was disappointed that he was left out in the sidelines as the others lit the Olympic torch. That bothered me.
