Hello from Florida, by the way the beaches are fine and less crowded these days ;-))
I am over two years into my recovery, which i now know will take until i past on.
i have not had any toe exercise till now and the curling down has become permanent by now and the second joint on at least three toes each foot is locked in the down position, i have pain when i try my standing up exercise as i am on the end of the toes instead of the bottom of the toes, i should have been bending them up someway all this time, i now have been checking on hammertoe treatments , some are on youtube, graphic, i will see a podiatrist in a week and will let you know what he says i should have been doing..
My mantra is to keep exercising anything that i can move someway, pain is a signal you are alive thanks to all you Guys and Women as you give me good cheer which is very hard to find. Ed Medlin

As well as my AFO's I have silica toe rolls which have a loop around one toe to attach with and then a shaped piece that sits under the toes to try and stop them curling under so much. I get them from my orthotist. I am 3 years post injury and a walker ( short distances ) they have not completely stopped the curlong but it is not as bad as it might be.
