I have just recently been really sick with an infection and the culture showed a Gram Neg and the bug is SERRATIA MARCESCENS and I am taking 2 courses of NORFLOXACIN for it.I also get the usual ECOLI infections but manage those with D-Mannose but it will not help with this bug,I also have a MRSA colonistaion which has never made me sick as yet.Has anyone any thoughts on how to manage this new bug and stop it infecting me.Would Vitamin C help or maybe Olive Leaf,I am awaiting a vacancy in hospital so that they can do some tests on me but im in Australia and our hospital system is in crisis at the moment with long waits even for private patients.................

Serratia Marcescens is a relatively common bug for UTIs so it is not that unusual. I have got the same bug at the moment, unfortunately I have got mine in my lungs as a secondary bacterial infection because of my underlying lung disease. I am on Ciprofoxacin (a quinolone antibiotic the same as you are on) for mine too. As far as I know there isn't alot you can do to prevent it, but as usual it is important to have antibiotic sensitivities done to make sure you are on the most effective Antibiotic for you.
