I've gotten great advice for my BF's care and really need all of you that have any experience with this to get back to me. Roger has been being treated with a wound vac and infusion therapy for a pressure sore that resulted in what they thought was acute osteomyletis, but is now thought to be chronic osteomylitis. They are throwing ideas out for care, he has lost a friend to this recently, and we are both seriously concerned about the best way and place to proceed with treatment...
I'm doing as much online research as I can, but am unsure of where to look for answers. The problem isn't the soft tissue healing, that is actually progressing rapidly...the problem is that in the past 3 weeks the infection has tunneled another 2 cm into the bone...
We just want to win this battle so we can look forward to a brighter future.
Thanks in advance to all of you!
