Brady's always wanted a farm and when we got this property that was his plan. Between work and the kids it never really happened till now he decides he wants to be a quadriplegic farmer.

I come home yesterday from getting my nails done and Brady tells me he needs to show me something in the barn. We get out there and I open the barn to find not one but TWO cows and a goat along with our two ponies. I think he's officially lost his mind, he's turning us in to the farmer in the dell lol. In the span of 2 years we've went from no animals to having eight (2 ponies, 2 cows, 2 cats, a dog and a goat). It has been good for the kids to learned responisibility, I never know what he'll come up with next ( one of the things I love most about him).

Brady is a riot. Good thing you got kids.
Look! It's a snail! It's a sloth! Able to creep short distances before lunch!

I think Brady has the right attitude, and it sounds like your life will never be dull with him around. Wish I had a Brady.

There is never a dull moment with Brady, it's the best. When I met him at 16 I was the most sheltered person by our second date he had me on a dirt bike and by our third I broke my elbow.

What do you say when you come home to not one but two cows and a goat? Hilarius......however, we just got two sugar gliders and I think that is all I can handle right now!
God will never give me anything that I cannot handle.....I just wish he didn't trust me so much!

A couple of years ago I saw a documentary entitled "When Pigs Fly." It's about a quad woman here in Florida who has a pig rescue farm (apparently pigs need rescuring, that's a whole 'nuther topic I guess). I can't remember how many she had - 50? 100? And she allowed them to roam free IN and outside her home.

Crazy thing was, I remember her saying she had never had any kind of infection.

Be thankful Brady doesn't want to raise camels or something!

Go Bradly!, I too now feel like a farmer, & my goal at the mo is building on my flock of 7 Whiltshire sheep, all 100% self shedding, so no shearing. (they're a quad's dream breed - excuse me, I'm salivating!) I've also got 3 cows, 3 horses, & 2 house dogs, on 20acrs. Animals make for a great life in the country, the more the merrier. I'd love to have chickens & pigs, but they need tending daily, & 2 dogs is quite enough for any carer. I'm lucky that my primary carer is my son...feeding the dogs has always been, & still is a love of his.
A huge :yahoo: to our kids.

Good for Brady!! And good for you!! :)

Inspires me to continue to grow my own...preSCI, we had 2 horses, 3 goats, dog, cat, 100 Koi (had to put down my beautiful black Tennessee Walker and 2 goats died)...had planned on getting a few Gypsy Cobs and breeding them...plans on hold for now, but HEY! You really did inspire me!

Now, if I could just pave the way back out to the barn...
