I just started another 3 month cycle of Oxandrolone, combined with weekly testosterone shots (test is the gas for the engine).
This is my 3rd one in 14 months, and each one has been beneficial while on them.
I have trouble maintaining weight and it helps with that as well.
Oxandrolone is commonly used by AIDS patients and burn victims for increasing muscle mass.
It is one of the safest AASs available, but is not w/o risks, and you need to know what you're doing as it can have side effects, and most doctors don't know anything about them.
You'll want to pre-authorize it with your insurance. It's about $1000/mo.

I have used oxanderone for a few months following weight loss, deconditioning, etc. from hospitalization. Nothing dramatic happened. However, in order for them to have a chance to work, you have to have high protein intake and vigorous exercise program.

Yes.
I increase my calories by 50-75% and make sure I get 1.5 gr. of protein per pound of lean body weight, which in my case means 200-250 gr. of protein per day.
Plus you have to "stack it" (as it's called) with testosterone supplementation, either oral, patches, or injections to get your test levels into the 1200 range, or about where it was when you were an 18 y/o kid.
If your test levels are low (and most men with SCIs are) then it isn't going to work very well.
You really have to know what to do to get the maximum benefit.
Just taking the pills isn't going to work on it's own like a miracle drug.
