Hi Simon.

Nothing has changed for me. Cold boot, Clear cache etc, all done. Still no cursor, navigation arrows not working, highlight/delete etc, cut/paste - all inoperative in REPLY window. Still only able to type from top down, (as in this post), but thanks for trying to help. Will try Fast Reply after this

I never have problems, unless I have problems, then I just figure everyone does also, so I have no problems...paralyzed legs, that's why they don't work, this could be a problem, then again my fingers don't work either, ah :D I'm paralyzed, this could indeed be a problem...

I was having a similar issue awhile ago. Greybeard, what browser are you running, and is it all up to date?

Firefox was giving me some trouble on occasion, so I'd switch to Safari or Chrome to avoid it. Seems to be gone now, but Firefox has been driving me nuts at work.

Hi Chickadee, thanks for responding.

I'm using Firefox 3.6.0-1.2 with Linux OpenSuse 11.2.

I have no other issues with it except in this one REPLY window in this forum. My PC is set to do automatic updates and there were a batch of them a week or so back - about the time I first noticed this. I can't recall the details, but it is puzzling that this is the only thing that seems to be affected. I've scoured the OpenSuse forums but no one else seems to have reported anything similar.

I think it must be gremlins after all :D

All OK

Added:  Well, if anyone is interested, the problem seems to be confined to Firefox.  I'm using Opera for this and it's working fine.  Thanks for the help Simon and Chickadee.

Hi Greybeard,

It appears there was an issue with Firefox 3.6.

I've now applied a patch, so see if that helps.

Regards

Simon :)

No joy, I'm afraid, Simon. I managed to copy your quote from the REPLY window and past it into FAST REPLY - which is an improvement. But still no cursor. Don't worry about it. I'll just stick with Opera.
Thanks

Test test.. I have a cursor. I'm using FireFox version 3.5.8 currently

Too many updates break too many things lately, so I generally don't update until I am forced to!
