Brighton beach wheelchair service launches

Beach-friendly wheelchairs are being introduced to Brighton to allow people with disabilities to enjoy the seafront.

Brighton & Hove City Council said the chairs have large inflatable tyres to help people with mobility problems navigate the shingle.

They are appropriate for all ages and have an umbrella attached.

The free wheelchairs are available to hire from the council's seafront office in King's Road Arches.
