Not worse,2 but different. As i began to use a new muscle group it would inevitably begin to spasm, or just cramp up. Months of that, then on to the next muscle group. its just a merry-go-round of entertainment.
Look! It's a snail! It's a sloth! Able to creep short distances before lunch!

My spasms have gotten so much worse and I even had the baclofen pump put in. Sorry to say my friend but that's just one of those things really can be quite annoying. I do have to say that after I have the`pump installed it has helped me out a lot though. We are still adjusting levels it should get better once we figure out the happy medium.

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions at all about it. Or send me a PM. I'm not on here to often have a lot of knowledge about it.

mine were fine until 1 day, now my nerve pain has increased as well. doctor told me it could be my hemmoroids, but i think something ele might be going on. i've been back and forth to the doctor still no answers. i really want an mri and a ct scan just to know if something is really wrong or if this just comes with the injury but they won't do it for some reason.

Nerve pain is a bitch alright. Mine has definitely increased over the time as well. An MRI and CAT scan won't tell you anything. I was on heavy narcotics before and it took me a while to get off of them. Almost a full year of tapering down. Both hi levels of oxycodone and methadone. Now I use medicinal marijuana. I have to say it's been the best thing for me and it is natural. I don't smoke it though. We baked into butter and make banana bread. It helps take the edge off but doesn't get rid of it completely. I know that you can smoke in and it gets rid of spasms as well too. Next time you talk to your doctor mention it to them.

when i do my bowel routine, it hurts when trying to place the suppository and digital stimulating. when wipng clean it hurts too. when done and laying in bed, i need to get on my side to alleviate pain along with tucks creme and ibuprofen. that never elimninates it completely though. the pain goes from my ass n shoots down my left leg in a pulsing action. on good days i seem to feel better sitting in my chair than laying in bed. i thought itd be the opposite.

Have you had an MRI recently? My bf's spasms had gotten really bad and it ended up being a Syrinx and he had to have a spinal shunt put in. He said the spasms did return somewhat after the surgery, but nothing to the extent they were pre-op. He had been on max doses of Baclofen and still his legs were spasming so bad it was sliding out of his chair!

all if us quads have low blood pressure and feeling light headed comes with the territory. if that's helps. the spasms are another issue and your'e right they tell you if something is wrong, if they are changing. do you have them after you transfer or move around? i know for instance when the manicurist moves my foot in and out of the water i spasm but that's nothing new or special. do you go to sheppard? if so your'e in the best rehab in the area.

i see that you are a new injury and you are going to experience a lot of changes in your condition the first few years. i got movement in my toes and my spasms were a lot worst the first 5 years. i deal with them by rom and standing and valium or pot.

hi fellow gimps! i'm a c 6/7 quad and have been injured since 1986. i was in a roll over hydroplane accident and it took hours for the paramedics to get me out of the car in the pouring rain. that definately wasn't my day. but alas life goes on!

He's had a total of 3 surgeries....the initial shunt placement and 2 revisions since then I'm pretty sure. Each time he presented with different symptoms. Once was loss of function, once was the really severe spasms, and once was profuse sweating.
