Spent 6 hours painting trim in my new work-out room scooting around and around on a cushion on the floor. It was a VERY long process and it used to take my about an hour...but I did it!! It felt good - well when I was doing it it did. These last 2 days I'm not sure about! :)

The soccer World Cup is in South Africa and the atmosphere around the city is electric. Yesterday South Africa drew against Mexico in the opening match.

Today France is being given a rugby lesson by South Africa in a friendly test match.

Midsummer Magic!

I'm feeling good because yesterday was Midsummer (the longest day in the year). Midsummer Magic - emotions, sun, happiness, relaxing ...

I have just finished reading Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream with my class (DDave: time for reliving it - NOW), and at Stonehenge (where I was a short time ago) people celebrated the night and the sunrise.

Damn it you've escaped!!

I'm feeling good today, I'm trying to do that final blitz to get everything packed so I can move house.... I have so much rubbish!! Free Cycle is my bestest friend right now!

I am mourning the loss of my giant bean bag and about half of my books but I'm sure when I'm all moved and settled more books will start appearing!!

It's so sunny! Get those legs out and enjoy it! (But forgoodness sake don't burn yourself)

I have escaped! :D It is really great to be getting out without having to worry if I am going to fall or not be able to drag my ass the distance I need to go. Many thanks to COOL mobility for solving this problem for me :) :)

We have had rain for the 2 days after I got the chair and sunny, but cold weather today. So no chance of burning my legs from the sun (the shower on the hand has been a different story :( managed to burn my legs/feet last night)

Very good. Finally.

My reason to feel good:
Starting to look forward to the summer holidays in August.
This is what it says on my July calendar that my daughter made for me:
<photo of our holiday in Ireland>

Travelling

Waiting for the unexpected
leaving the accustomed behind
looking forward to the unknown
discovering coincidence, small things
Don't hurry -
only those that take their time
can experience happiness.

Aussie, glad to hear that. Skype is a great opportunity, really. A lot of my friends even stay in touch with their now adult children across the ponds: Australia (!!), US, Canada ... (I haven't got it yet, though.)

Reasons for me to feel good: Germany is third in the World Cup. And the summer holidays are sooooo near! :)
