The sun is shining for the 3rd day in Basingstoke!!. Got lots of washing out on the line in garden, gave the lawn its first haircut of the year, done a bit of weeding, knackered now, time for a nice glass of wine!! Lovely

I'll be back in about a month so they can do this damn surgery, but thenI'll be home for good. Really really stiff though. Too much laying around!

Hurrah!!! Now for goodness sake try and stay away from the place!

My boyfriend made me a cup of tea to drink in bed this morning. Isn't he a sweetheart?
Wonder what he wanted...

Well? Did you find out?

Not yet!
Unfortunately I probably wont be seeing him again for ages (despite him only working 20 minutes away, and staying at his parents 1/2hr away until Tuesday) so here's hoping he's forgotten and makes me another cup.

He had to go to work unfortunately. Weekends usually involve my getting a lay in with nothing but my laptop for company!

I wasn't even wearing my Haynes Manual t-shirt!!

Another feel good - yesterday was spent stripping. The front suspension is almost in component form (would have been must quicker but ever other bolt was interrupted with people coming up to tell me how well I'm doing, or their stories of old cars...)

That's strange. I've always found that watching others stripping was one of life's least satisfying experiences.

Now - about the Haynes nightwear: got any pics?

How odd. Seemed yesterday that all of the old men wanted to come and see me getting all hot and covered in oil as I lay out on the grass under a very enjoyable sun shine slowly taking things off.

I'll take you a photograph later when I swap computers xx

Congratulations, GB! 35 years together - that's great. Quite an achievement. Don't you feel like a "dinosaur"? That's what my friends said after 25 years. :(

"Feeling good": My SCI friend / colleague had a great time during the holidays at the Lake Constance (south Germany) where he was at a plane exhibition and met lots of fellow pilots. He told me it was finally (!) possible to go 10 km along the lake on handbike. (Finally - indeed!) But he was very relaxed and happy and well prepared for the next exams. :)

I have had a great weekend in Nottingham on a badminton training weekend with the Blazers. Everyone was welcoming and helped me as much as they could even lending me a chair to play in.

I am going to now work towards my first match on the 5th of June although I do not expect to win it will be nice to meet everyone again and get my first real game nerves out of the way!

If anyone from the Blazers is reading this thanks once again.
If I fall out of my wheelchair in the woods would anybody hear me?

Congrats Geoff and Mrs. Geoff on 35 yrs of :) well done :)

Got my blood work back, not to bad for a 53yr old anemic diabetic cripple...
- Cholesterol 171
- HDL 47, LDL 112
- A1C 121
- Hemoglobin 12.4 not to bad considering it was 6.8 back in 08

Its NASCAR weekend here in Dallas, I usually go, but one of my besties dad passed away in January of a sudden heart attack, he was like my own dad. We used to go to the races together.

So this year instead of going to Texas Motor Speedway... we are having a girls night at my house!! RIP donnie :)
