"For the gun to be fired, two mechanical safeties must be depressed with the fingers on either side of the barrel before the trigger, located on the top and bottom of the gun, is pressed by the thumb.

A three-digit combination lock is set opposite to the loading button to help prevent accidental discharge.

The Palm Pistol would hold a single cartridge, loaded by pressing a button in the middle of the combined stock and receiver, which swings to the side."

I think those of us with no finger function these instructions look more complicated than finding a cure for us lol. Looks good for the paras self defense though.

For quads target shooting, my brainstorming comes up with a modified archery wrist release(terminology?).

i created one for my marlin .22. i made a you tube account to show it off. http://www.youtube.c...sh?feature=mhum

i've designed a gun mount & a trigger activator that can be switched from gun to gun pretty easy. i just have to get a machine shop to build them.

Maybe something like this?

http://cgi.ebay.com/...#ht_2784wt_1165

It says it is for electric locks in cars so it should be strong enough to pull a trigger, for under $10 its worth trying it out.

I was thinking about how you could power it and there is a few ways to do it.
one way is with a normal looking battery but there 12V.

http://cgi.ebay.com/...38#ht_962wt_905

Then there are battery packs like this http://cgi.ebay.com/...0#ht_970wt_1139 that are rechargeable.

You could also use a 12V drill battery.

I think the first one would be best size wise, they are not rechargeable but there cheap enough that you could toss them when there dead. good luck, hope this helps.

Wow nice gun, it reminds me of my 10/22 with a bullpup stock and flash suppressor, it looked like a ar-15, I also knew a guy that had a mac-10 that took the same clips, I tried to buy it but his wife was attached to it.

Were did you find the drum mag? Back when I had mine there was that stupid assault weapons ban and people wanted $50 and up for used ones! Now there only about $20 new.

Anyways nice toy.

Thanks. I found these 50 round drums here http://www.eabco.com..._Sale022410.htm, they pretty much have anything and everything you can imagine for ruger 10/22.

My gun started out as a Ruger Charger 10/22 with a 10 inch barrel. I am still not finished with it, i want to get a bull barrel and some nice optics for it. Plus i am going to have a custom tripod built for it. I have a red laser on it for now, but its in an awkward position on the bottom rail. Might look into a scope with a laser build onto the side and out of the way.

If you want to see a really cool gun go here http://www.lakesideguns.com/ there they have miniature belt fed .22 machine guns, a 1/2 scale replica of the browning. Pretty expensive and they only make a couple of them each year. I am tempted to put my order in for next year lol.

sh1wn and spazm, thanks for sharing a couple of excellent links! Just picked up a little Ruger LCP the other day as a new carry since my M&P 9 is now a bit bulky...

...but your links have me thinking of more fun with a warm gun...Thanks!

The LCP is an excellent carry piece but not pleasant to plink with. I find mine uncomfortable after a few shots. And the .380 ammo isn't cheap. I reload and find a lighter load easier to handle for practice.

Oh yes, I agree...but it fits in my wheelchair arm bag much better than my S&W M&P 9mm...also easier all around...I fired a few rounds before purchase and still killed the target, so the sale was made...I'd Love to go back with the AR15, but doubt this broken body would handle that!!

What ammo are you using? I have 9 hollows coming out my ears, LOL! Now I need the 380 best choice...

Bags...I was thinking about that also...besides, what good is a single shot, really? I like what others have created...for me, I am very fortunate to retain function at this point and could shoot the mf'ers oh oops, I meant targets, with trigger action...

Speer and Hornady make a good hollow point self defense load. For practice I reload the lightest load that will reliably function the action. Sometimes I find an internet estate auction with cheaper ammo but it's not easy to slip in a last minute bid. Lately I've been lusting after a new Kimber Solo in 9mm. Beautiful little piece but I bet it's a handful for arthritic hands. Think I would trade my Baby Glock for one.

.380's are fun, sometimes it's nice to have a pistol you can stick in your pocket, more punch then a .22 or .25

I was planning on hitting the range with full metal to get the little gun into shape...I am still amazed at its accuracy the first shot!

I also had/have a Glock 9mm model 17...Lovely piece, even larger than my S&W...I carry so much in my wheelchair arm bags, the 380 fits perfectly...yes, sh1wn! nice to have that warm feeling without the bulk and knowing it will do the job!

Thanks for the suggestions, davjed, on ammo also!
