I very much love this idea. If you want, you could just take photos of your place and send them to me then I'll post an article on your place with all the details. We should chat more, email me at info@wheelchairtraveling.com. Brilliant idea... I might do the same thing one day.

A c5 friend of ours goes to the Radisson in Aruba 3x year. The hotel has first floor rooms with roll in showers, the entire hotel is wheelchair accessible and they have 2 pools. One pool doesn't have an edge so she can easily pull a lounge chair into the pool and sit in the water. They love it so much that she is getting married there next fall. Also, there is a durable medical equipment store a few miles away and they deliver a shower chair and lift to the room before they arrive so it is waiting for them. In addition (and unbelievable) the immigration folks come onto the plane, escort her off, get her luggage and take her to the front of the custom line so she can get thru quickly. As soon as my husband is ready to travel we plan to go!

The apartment also had a nice kitchen and living area with fireplace. There was wonderful outdoor living spaces with unbelievable views. There was also a pool that was not easily accessible. We had to drive a little way down the hillside and wheel though some tall grass, but it was worth it.
The owner of the villas will cook for you if you like or set up a cooking demonstration. They will also help set up side trips. We visited an alpaca farm, beekeeper and potter. Great place to stay for a week or more!

Super! Thank you! I will certainly look into this. It's funny that it has a roll-in shower but then you need a ramp to access the bedrooms. Thank you for being the pioneer and making it more accessible for others. How did you feel about exploring the rest of the area of Tuscany? I imagine lots of cobble stones and small doorways... which are not too fun to deal with. What activities did you do while there?
