dannyr,

where are you located? i'm hoping it's the colorado mountains. i'm going to crested butte next week and 5 inches of snow would be a good thing.
therefore, a reason to feel bad would be arriving to crested butte to find all the snow gone and the base of the mountains with the consistency of mash potatoes.

hi fellow gimps! i'm a c 6/7 quad and have been injured since 1986. i was in a roll over hydroplane accident and it took hours for the paramedics to get me out of the car in the pouring rain. that definately wasn't my day. but alas life goes on!

I just cannot find a reason to feel bad today . . .
Right now . . .
I'm listening to Roger Seldon's album "4 Songs" (a South African/Canadian indi songwriter) ;
I'm playing on my PC and chatting with you lot;
I'm having a brace (could be more) of scotch on the rocks;
Mary (jane) is sweet today;
My dear wife just made me a spanish omelette (oooooh yum) . .

How can I feel Bad ??? !! :)

No. 1: Easter holidays are over in Germany. VERY sad ... (But I will see my colleagues and pupils again - that's a plus. Joking with the pupils, complaining about life in general with the colleagues, and laughing a bit, too.)

No. 2: We went to Wolfsburg: Europa League (former UEFA cup) quarter finals Wolfsburg vs. Fulham (a London team). For those who don't know: European football, soccer - and a really important match. It was a great atmosphere, people singing in the stadium, Hugh Grant came especially (well ...), BUT: Wolfsburg lost 0 - 1. The plus side: Germany will be World Champion in South Africa. (Sorry - only joking!!) :(

The katyn plane crash-

I've been reacquainting myself with the history of Poland's betrayal in WW2 and see why I'd largely forgotten it. It is so sad and so shameful.

Got confirmation today that there is no possibility of surgery to release the nerve root compression because of the multiple sites that would require intervention. :( Bummer, but it's sort of what I expected.

Was also told that no-one would consider giving me a general anaesthetic anyway because of my COPD - except in a dire emergency. Don't quite know how that leaves things about repairing my torn rotator cuff; perhaps a brachial plexus block. :H2kOther (26): Find out after the scheduled scan I suppose.
