so my 2 year anniversary is coming up on april 19th next month. i want to do something fun and memorable to replace the horrible memories of this day 2 years ago. i was thinking other than just a party...something active where i don't feel so wc bound. something i can do with all my able body friends where im just as physically capable. kayaking was an idea..but we do it every summer.

ideas anyone?

Hey simplepeachy . . .

Go on a deep-sea fishing trip, there are operators that can accommodate (and assist IF necessary!)

Whatever you do, it must be a "celebration of life" and not a downer!!!!!

I love deep-sea fishing and go regularly, . . . being out on the big blue ocean, seeing all the free life is so uplifting.

My thoughts . . . good luck! :)

PS. DON'T forget seasick pills if you are a landlubber !!!!!

Putting them back into the sea is just as rewarding as having fresh fish to eat. Besides if you do wanna keep one, the skipper or crew will do the "clubbing" without the "grubbing", they'll just leave the latter for you to do.
enjoy!!!

Hey Simplypeachy..

Not sure how adventurous you are! But I was just gonna throw a couple ideas in, sky diving would be fun and memorable, will also mean you are at the same capabilities as your friends. But might not be eveyones idea of fun (Hopefully I will get around to it this summer)! Also what about ATV (Quad biking) again great fun and you will all be on a level playing field. Maybe horse back riding or sailing!

Just a couple thoughts for now, might come back to you with more!
Everything will be alright in the end, if it's not alright then it's not the end!

Sailing, bungee jumping, quad skiing, idk. . . . go camping. Whatever floats your boat. Congrats.

yeah... the 10 story mountain i fell off of while snowboarding (INBOUNDS) straight along a cat track (called crystal traverse) was at whistler. they dont put fences up where every cliff is until someone falls off it. they waited one whole year to put a fence where i went off because they didnt want to admit they were at fault.

i think its too early in the year for scuba diving season. after all, we just had the winter olympics (sure they wasnt any snow, but the water is still pretty cold)

i have had my share of falling off cliffs in tahoe and jackson hole but it was jumping into shallow water that got me. but scuba diving here is year round. i suppose BC my be a little to cold
