Hi, I am new and have some questions. I have had my injury for a long time and am very lucky to walk. It is starting to be very painful for me to walk and I just started going back to the doctor and the only thing he is telling me is that it is time for me to retire. what I really want to know is how to deal with my injury. If yall want to give some advice it would be apprciated!

What do you want to know Josh. You don't know how to deal with your injury yet you say you have been injured for a long time, that is a bit of a worry. You should have sought advice sooner. Fill out your profile page and give us a bit more of a background on yourself, it's easier for people to help you if they know a bit more about you.
The only thing I could glean from your post is that you are a C5 incomplete, possibly from the southern states of the US.
All the best.

I guess I have a lot of questions. I have lots of pain in my joints on my bad side and walking has become painful. The doctor just keeps perscribing pills and telling me to stay off my feet, but I feel like there has to be a better answer than that. I don't really know how to describe my injury and I made the mistake of not going to the doctor for several years and now it is all catching up to me.

Second what Rattis said. Find a good neurologist first and get the original injury described, aqnd sort the list of accessory symptoms. Get it written down first.

Josh,

Since you live in GA, go see a doctor at Shepherd.
