As you may recall, I was having stroke like symptoms after my refill. Had my MRI on Tues and went to the dr today.

Well I had a interesting talk w/ my neurologist today. She asked me about all my symtoms and then proceeded to show me my new MRI.

Lets see- I have fat deposits that are floating around in my CSF fluid. How they got there is a mystery. The Baclofen is not the problem because it is water soluable. They did the extra views to make sure it was fat,

Anyway after doing what research she could- there is like two cases she can find- she found a pt that had a baclofen pump and had the same stroke like symptoms that did resolve when the body absorbed the fat.

The question is where did it come from? Is there a breach in the pump system or was it caused during the pump refill? The point I am at now is calling UNC Chapel Hill and finding some else for a second opinion. With that information I can decide if the pump is even worth keeping. Have not had it long enough to make that judgement yet.

So what's ya alls opinion. I may be written up in a medical journal...
