Hi Jacyln,
My son who is 18 years ld and C3 complete has no use of his arms or legs at all. He has a power chair that he operates with his chin. Maybe Spikeman could look to modify his chair to operate this way. It would give him some independence. Simon in Portugal also has this type of chair. Maybe he could give you more details as he obviously has more experience with this.
By the way welcome to the boards.

Hi Jaclyn
How much of his arms has your boyfriend lost? I ask this because a friend I work with is a double arm amputee and he operates an electric wheelchair by using his artificial limbs. Before this he used a system involving a blow/suck operation.

Hi
Just read this posting. Why have spikemans arms been amputated?
Anyway, it should be possible to change the control unit on his chair to a chin control - what make/model is the chair? We can find out then.

Hey everyone...
I'm Michelle, a friend of Greg and Jacyln. They have been busy with the hostpital and rehab, therefor, they asked me to make this post... I was told that he had a rare condition.. and the main possible solution was to amputate his arms. They weren't quite sure about the specific name, sorry. I also found out that his left has nothing left, and his right arm is just above the elbow. He is doing fine now, and Jacyln should be back at soon to post messages and answer any questions. Thank You.
