never knew there was such a thing. i feel her though. i am a para so i can myself and this is a very personal thing, but i had a great boyfriend and when my accident first happened he put them in and took them out. it was embarassing for me but he assured me he loved me and not to feel bad. maybe you could do it for her. get some gloves. if she is like me she doesn't wanna wear pads they are just nasty to me, so help her out.

Don't know if this is a reality yet but there were others when I put in a search with the words - tampon inserter tool -. So you see there are some thoughts out there I just don't know if they are available.

Short Search

Anyway; I feel her pain. How embarrassing no matter how close you two are some people prefer to be independent with the more personal matters.

Good luck :bye:

Some things are better not shared. It is not sexy, it is not romantic. If you can find her something, great.

My bf and my aide put them in and take them out for me. It sucks and is no fun for anyone but its better than the alternative...

I was 43, so too old to have kids, when I went to the gynecologist for the first time. He said, " Three years in a chair and you are still dealing with this shit?" he promptly had me scheduled for a uterine ablation. They either freeze or burn the lining of your uterus out. It was done at hospital due to the risk of A/D, I was released the same day. No pain and it completely stopped my periods. My ovaries are still perfectly functional, so no need for hormones. My A/B friends are jealous!

How much grip does she have? I.e. would she be able to insert a mooncup? (TMI - Used one for many years with and love it!)

I use the tampons which have a plastic packaging inserter which I have found to be much easier to use than regular cardboard inserter/packaging (sorry it is Monday morning and I can't think how else to describe it). Here is the brand I use; I appreciate that I am paraplegic thus have use of my arms and hands but the smooth plastic speeds up insertion of the tampon.

Applicator! that is the word I was looking for!

Best of luck!
