Alright kids. Heres one for you.

Tilite ZRA or Topend Crossfire.

Discuss.

I currently park my arse in a Quickie GT.
I'm in the market for a shiny new chair.
I like the lightness of the ZRA but I like the ergo seat option on the crossfire.

I know they're both excellent chairs and have heard nothing but good things.
Where I live it is impossible to try these chairs out in person so I have to order from the states over the net, so I need to get it right.
Has anyone compared them in the flesh?

Is the ergo option of the crossfire different then the ergo option on the ZRA?

I haven't not tried nor seen a crossfire, but have had a ZRA for the last several years and it is by far the best chair I've had. I'm currently getting a new series 2 ZR ordered. I did look at other chairs before ordering(Marvel, Crossfire, Q7), but then stuck with Tilite as when you get something as good as it has been to me I couldn't find enough of a reason to change and try one of the others.

I've got the titanium crossfire... I didn't get the ergo seating.. too much money for something you can do with the canvas!
I just drop the back of my seat sling .. just the last two velcro tabs down a couple of inches. I get the same effect, posture is transformed, my hips sit flat instead of flopping outwards. I've sat in a RGK with the same setting on an ergo seat.. and its no different. Actually it was one of the RGK guys that told me to try doing it!

Whoa! steady on everybody ...one at a time.

Thanks Texas and ems.

I didn't realise the ZRA had the ergo seat thingy, can't see any mention of it in their online brochures.

I still can't decide ( one of you goes for tilite the other for topend), It'll probably come down to price.

The aussie dollar just took a plunge against the USD. Typical.

Thanks again guys

i got the crossfire titanium with the frog legs and the shock system, same as frog legs far as i can tell, does give u about an inch and a half play or 2 maybe, but the really only thing i dont like is the side guards, they dont secure themselves in the front, but u can lift them up and out of the way by just raising them, if that makes sence, but so far its a good lightweight compact chair.....

...drill the side guards into the chair ;) Also I made them send me better side guards.. the first ones. I told them were called *cushion* guards. they were about 5 inches tall.. utterly useless!!!

didnt think about bolting them down, i kinda liked the moving out of the way, but they stay in the spokes more than on the stops.......

After looking over the order forms it seems only the ZR has the ergo seating, not the ZRA, since i had just finished filling out the order form for the ZR I had just assumed the ZRA would have it also, my bad.

I've got the ZRa. I love it! I am about to play with it a little more myself. My therapist didn't want me to mess with it and they keep trying to put lumbar support in it but the back annoys me. I feel like I am being pushed out of my chair. Until the therapists sit in this thing all day, I am going to fit it to myself. My center of gravity is off too. A little too hard to tip it up. But all that is personalization stuff. I think the chair is great! Of course, I am a newby in this SCI world, so I may not be the best to give you advice. Just thought I would put in my "customer satisfaction" report on the ZRa!:)
