So I decided to finally do it and write my story. I don't care if anyone else reads it or not, its really more of a therapeutic venture. anyway, if anyone cares I'll keep you posted on the progress.

What's important is not what happens to us, but how we react to what happens to us..

God gave us two ends, one to think with, n one to sit on.. Success depends on which one u use.. Heads u win, tails u lose..

I'm in the u of a right now, after 3 years and repeated f ups by the RAH, they finally did things right here after I nearly died 2 weeks ago. But it does give me a pretty solid lawsuit. Glenrose was great.

What 'other story' was that, winger?

Yes, writing a book can be therapeutic and you have the right attitude not to exspect any profits, etc. from such a venture...Be aware that not one manuscript in a hundred is accepted by a legitimate publisher nowadays. Of course you can self or vanity publish.... Publishers are a pain in the butt to deal with anyway...I am of the opinion each of us have at least one book in them and writing can act as an effective relief valve for pent-up emotions... I've had seven books published concerning regional history so I guess I must have been suffering from emoitional overload...Throw yourself into the work body and soul, find a writing routine that works for you. I wrote in the mornings and liked to listen to background music. Have fun with it and don't worry about being criticized, no one can write your story better than you......Good Luck

Super Gimp is a movie, but the original concept of super gimp inspired something else. In writing the script and relating my own life to it, the story split into a second story about a gimp and his day to day life, which has became a series that I have several scripts and lots more ideas for. I plan on making them viewable online for free then selling DVD copies (perhaps with some extras). Maybe I'll get lucky and actually get it on TV too. I found a great program that will simplify the creation process immensely.
I got a lot of big plans, just gotta be sure to see them all through! First is the book.

Regarding the book:

Have you an idea of layout for your table of contents?
Are you hitting agents to have it published? If so, ignore any knock backs and keep at it until you find an agent to have it published.

Reason for asking:

I'll be starting one soon enough.......without my usual sarcasm embedded. Actually that's a lie, there will be some but more humorous. I hope to be fluent enough within Irish and French to be able to transcribe once I have more of an idea on how the English version goes when completed, got my hands on brilliant software to help with my learning of said languages. Might be an idea for yourself.(languages that is)

Irrelevant to whether it is for publishable reasons or that of a therapeutic nature, best of luck with it.

Enjoy
Seemingly, "support" is very "serious" and you should never have a thought of your own..... My Blog

How's it going Ratty?

Have to say I started a blog a while ago and have recently started to use it( http://ladyclara.blogspot.com in case you get bored and fancy reading all about pain - like you don't have enough of it here!!) and am finding it quite relaxing (even though I don't publish quite a few of the posts as they are the most shocking drivel)

Always thrilled to hear about people going for it and actually writing that thing that has been in the back of their minds forever and they just never got it down! Fabulous!

I agree that background music really helps. Funny thing with mine, if I change the music to something different it's harder to write, so I have had to use the same background music for the duration---LOL

Good Luck, I am very excited for you!!!
