  • Spinal Injury Level / Relationship:fiancé of inc c4-5

Hi there,
I'm new to this forum, I was introduced to it by my fiancé, who has an incomplete c4-5 spinal cord injury. I met him after an attempt on his life left him with his injury. I love this man so much that I joined this forum in hopes to gain more knowledge on what its like to be a able bodied spouse so someone with a spinal cord injury. Although its not nearly as difficult as it would be if he was in a wheelchair, there are still days where I don't know what to do to help him with what he's going through. Thank you for listening!

What's important is not what happens to us, but how we react to what happens to us..

God gave us two ends, one to think with, n one to sit on.. Success depends on which one u use.. Heads u win, tails u lose..

Hey, if he is not in a wheelchair all he needs is respect, sharing the cooking, and lots of clear communications about each of your limitations. Skydiving may be out, along with morning runs through the park. Enjoy being a top so he doesn't have to work too hard-- you will love the POWER.

Don't discount ANYTHING, including skydiving.

And welcome.
