Hi
I was wondering if anybody out there has tried the cannabis spray, it's been tested for M/S, and seemingly has good results for spasms, i'm not sure if the same type of tests have been done for spinal injuries, tried speaking to my local Spinal Injuries Unit but no feed back. I'm a T4 level, and the spasms I suffer are pretty bad, some days you can handle them no problem then the next there a nightmare, and always kick off at bed time, and can go on for most of the night, which results in being extremely tired the next day. At the moment i'm on Baclofen and Dantroline, but doesn't seem to make much difference, at the moment the only option seems to be the Baclofen pump. Any feed back would be appreciated, Thanks, andy p

I've not tried the cannabis spray. Can't say that I've even really heard of it. But I can attest to the effectiveness of cannabis, particularly the indica's. Hands down the best anti-spasm meds out there. I don't like to use it all day, but at the end of the day it works wonders. Takes away ALL of the high tone and most of the spasms, everything but the most reactive spasms.

Unfortunately we have not been approved to use this that I am aware. I will discuss this with my office physican.

it's available for MS patients in the UK but not approved for spinal yet. 40% success rate according to studies.

Yea it is not approved yet for the US but it sounds like a wonderful antispasmotic. We do have patients that use it for spasm relief.

It's called Sativex and I think that they are trying to start trials this year in the US. All it is, is a cannabis tincture in a spray bottle. It's really easy to make at home, I just take mine down my feeding tube but I hear the spray works too.
