Have you tried something simple for the gas relief? Like "Digestive Advantage"? It helps with intestinal gas.
As I'm sure you know, with the CPAP you end up inhaling a lot of air. Also, have you talked to you doc or therapist about the CPAP settings and your bloating? Maybe the settings are a bit too high and are making the situation worse.
Good luck!

Try Gasx but check with your doctor whether it would mess with the effectiveness of your other meds. Anactids do but as far as I can tell simethicone does not....

My husband is a c4/5 quad and 22 years post. He has the most incredible, painful bloating. Constantly taking gasx and maalox. It gets much worse as the day goes on. By 4pm in the afternoon he looks 4 months pregnant. He gets some relief from BM of course. He seems to get some type of infection or disorder every couple weeks that increases the bloating and pain, he can't eat, tries hard to drink but isn't as successful on these days. He takes daily Septra antibiotic for UTI prevention and has started probiotics and Activia yogurt to balance the septra. But as of yet, nothing seems to really help. He's had every test that the GI dept can perform (colonoscopy, bacteria test, lactose intolerance test, small bowel obstruction test, along with x-rays, ultrasounds...) Finally, a dr told him "Vernon, you have a progressive disease that will most likely end up killing you." He went on to explain that quads with limited or no activity during the day, along with slow/lazy bowels and basically no muscle tone in the abdominal area--it's just par for the course of being a quad. But your situation is probably different than his. Due to your cpap.

We're at our wits end. The problems seem to be multiplying with every 6 months to year.

Simethicone should not be taken within 2 hours of taking gabapentin.

According to my VA doc Simethicone on it's own (such as Gasx) has no known drug interactions while certain preperations that combine simethicone with antacids, like Maalox, do indeed produce unwanted drug interactions...Simethicone is not an antacid and antacids is the culprit...I take Gasx all the time in combination with other drugs and have had no problems...Look up simethicone without antacids on webmd and Mayo, etc...

Will look forward to that then
