HAHAHA!! It was hard enough to hold still for that photo! I was on a little bit of an incline and every time I moved, the chair would start to roll! I would be like "Wait a minute!!"
My 10 year old daughter took the picture! I think she has potential don't you? (spoken from a proud momma!) She just needs better subject matter!

And I'M an atheist.
Sorry, carry on.

I must be simple minded, I'm not even sure 100% what you are talking about unless E-dog hit the nail on the head. Is that what you mean? Like I have my arms out like on the cross? If so, I did not mean it that way at all. Please clear this up for me because I don't want to offend anyone intentionally. Thank you!

rue, I am a Christian, and I am generally sensitive to not hurting people's feelings (although we Germans do not tend to be offended so easily on religious issues). That picture of yours conveys your message to perfection - it expresses an attitude. It never crossed my mind it could be a reference to the cross. I'm sure Lucydog meant well, but if I were you, I would (as you did) ask my Christian friends, and if nobody feels that strongly about it, go ahead and leave the picture. It does seem exaggerated to look for hidden meanings. The expression on your face, the body language are unambiguous to me.
Congrats to the photographer! Yes, your daughter does have potential!

And you being the nice person you are try to comfort the beast; sorry, I'm all out of tact tonight.
I love what you did with the picture. Is that what you're going to do and take wheelchair out of your title instead and have the visual? A picture says a thousand words. Now about the picture............nah just kidding. But if you could actually be going down a hill.......na, na, pulling your leg again (lol). Take a few more pics, fool around with it and I think you're headed in the direction you want to go.
I really like the way you are progressing with this.

Dear Lucydog,
I'm very sorry you feel criticized. Did you read my post (# 19)? I did stress that you meant well, and I really only tried to be constructive as well. (And I did write that we Germans are not so touchy about religious issues.)
About some other posts - well, you know ... Don't take every word too seriously.
Please, Lucy, I think you know how I value your opinion. Do not stop "bothering us" - each idea is very welcome!

Lucydog - I wasn't offended at all by what you said and I am always open to criticism. If you don't believe me, just look up conversations between me and WOF! He teases me religiously (no pun intended!)and I take it all in stride and tease him back. I am really not sensitive in that area. I am very comfortable. I just wanted to make sure what you meant as I do not want to be an intentional offense to any group - Christian or non. Greybeard made a suggestion earlier that I not just reference Christianity in the sight as he is an atheist. He even suggested how I word something and I took his "criticism" to heart and made the changes. I have tried to openly listen to everyone and make the changes as I see their point. I know I cannot please everyone but I really want to listen. So, please know that I really wanted your "criticism" I just didn't quite understand it. I, for one, do want your perspective and input. Are we okay?
