Those Americans ... some films that are real success stories over here are not shown over there. Strange enough! Probably vice versa.
Good to have such an international forum as this.

I am certain that Leonard is also referring to "craic" when he sings "crack" as both fit so well herein ("that's how the light gets in"):

Just saw this again. Hm - my comment was more ironical than was obvious. I did like "I love you Phillip Morris" (US film that was not shown in the US, I saw it here last April) - and my comments made on that fact and the film itself to my family are no way politically correct. So: shush.

The "yesmen" filmmakers are too new to the game to lump them in with michael moore as of now, well have to see how they deal with their potential successes.
Censorship is wrong and i cant believe this film wont make it to american cinemas eventually. Im in line with moore and the "yesmen"'s spoken goal, but id be much more inclined to agree with their tactics (specifically moore) if they cut their profits in order to eliminate the accusation of greed and make the film more widely seen, minimize the sensationalism in order to establish more trust with the viewer (i understand a completely dry docu wouldnt attract any viewers), etc. Basically motivations come into question when serious concerns are raised ia satire...Im more inclined to become an activist for a cause if im not laughing at said cause.
Also: Why does Moore allign with major studios (ie Warner Bros, Miramax, etc)? Are they not guilty of the wild capitalism he denounces?
Sincerly your in-house devils advocate,
Bags
PS...I hope the yesmen pitch a time machine next cuz ill be the first inline to jump back in time and purchase one of their spinal cord preserving bubble suits
