I tried one. It was about a catalog with some helpful (?) stuff in it but at the bottom I added that I wondered if people had any gadgets or helpful things or tips that made their lives in their chairs a little easier.
Like my friend in Canada wrote to me abote her turkey lifter. You can't pick up a heavy turkey or hot pan of lasagna and manipulate a wheelchair while holding said pan. Her turkey lifter is on wheels, attaches to both sides of the pan and rolls to the table or work area safely.
I myself am short with short arms and I've found that a lightweight foam yoga block provides me with a little more leverage with my transfers especially from bed to chair.
I just thought sure that people would have all kinds of insights for us relative "newbies" but not one response.

Hi,
I think the reason similar posts keep appearing is because the site tends to attract those with relativly new injuries. Therefore, the main issues raised on the forum are those that someone new to spinal cord injuries might ask.
Maybe it might be worth setting up a General Discussions area which is non-sci related, but which can be used as a sounding area for anything, venting, advice etc.
I could call it Cafe Apparelyzed!
Let me know what you think.
Simon.
