Hello from a very wet and windy Sydney day. It's as we say in Australia, "pissing down".

Anyway, my fiancee is just on 15 weeks pregnant. We don't know the sex of the baby and we think we are going to keep it a surprise.

Her cravings have been bizzare:

- Tacos and ice cream together?

- Roasted chicken and tomato sauce?

- No problem with this one...sex...she's gone mad! As a bloke I won't complain, but it seems to be more than her usual level of interest...by a long way.

We understand from "Old wives' tales" that the craving for unusual combinations of foods and an increased libido suggest that it could be a boy? Any truth do you think?

Hey sydneywheels.. As far as I know about the old wives tale, it also depends on what she's craving.. Acidic cravings, eg pineapple, tomatoes, etc, indicate a girl, and vice versa.. Its not an exact science, even when we want it to be.. ;-) The truth about cravings is that it is a nutrient shortage in the body and it's a way for the body to indicate what it needs.. Sorry I can't be of more help or tell you what you want to hear.. ;-)

Wishing you both a happy, healthy pregnancy.. ;-)
What's important is not what happens to us, but how we react to what happens to us..

God gave us two ends, one to think with, n one to sit on.. Success depends on which one u use.. Heads u win, tails u lose..

Very windy and wet here in Brisbane also strong westerlies today and pissing down yesterday, someone asked me why we Aussies love talking about the weather but lets face it rain is a godsend now.As for old wives tales the closest I have found to be correct in more cases than not is all out front is a boy if you are carring it all around its a girl.My daughter is having her 3rd boy in 4 weeks she wanted to know this time.Congradulations also I just love bubs even more so now I can spoil them and hand them back.
