Hello again
Quick question for anyone who knows:
I'm buying the girl (who loves shoes) a pair of "flatties" for her birthday next month as I reckon pretty soon her high heels are not going to work with a bigger frame courtesy of the baby.
She (like me) has big feet...for a chick they are 10.5, so she orders many of her shoes in advance so she can get them in stock.
So, my question is, given that chick's feet get bigger as they go through pregnancy, should I order say a size 11...half a size bigger or maybe a full size bigger?
Or maybe it's in the too hard basket and I should leave it with her when the time comes?
...I can always go with the safer option of perfume, day spa etc...

If you go for the shoes know that just like clothes it will depend on what brand you buy if they come big or small or just right. Generally the feet don't increase in size during pregnancy and if the female wears shoes that don't fit the danger is a fall.
Have you asked her about the heel thing? When I carried my kids I wore heels all the time. But then again over here in Hawaii everyone wears slippers as well.
BTW if her feet do increase that means she's swelling and should take appropriate action such as knowing why and putting her feet up for rest.
OK Dad!.gif)
Why not buy her a beautiful pair of house slippers with a matching robe. Oh and then matching jewlery and matching....................
time for a snack.

I take a different tack- tell her you want to give her some new shoes to carry the baby in then take her shopping. Show her what you like. if your concern is for when she gets heavy, then wait until then.
Look! It's a snail! It's a sloth! Able to creep short distances before lunch!

I think that buying things such as perfume, shoes or handbags are a personal prefernce. so I would stick with something that is not. But then too when you purchase someone a gift like a day at the spa or a massage, make sure you know they will go to something like that as well... I bought a massage for a friends birthday a few years ago. She never went to it, as she didnt like people touching her. So what a waste of 50 bucks I thought. I dont think anyone used it. So to me a gift card seems to work best.
