Hi Neil,

There are plenty of mobility equipment hire outlets in Perth.
Get online and look up 'mobility equipment' in the yellow pages for Perth.
Try the 'Independent Living Centre'.
I recently travelled to rural Victoria and was able to hire one from a local hospital, didn't cost anything, just a $100 deposit. You might like to try some hospitals.
Royal Perth Hospital campus at Shenton Park is where the spinal unit is, if they won't lend or hire they will help you out with where to find one.
Good luck. Perth in October is nice. Go bush and check out the wildflowers. Spectacular.

If you travel alot you might want to look into buying a portable commode. we have one called a "Borringa Chameleon". Its not the most comfortable and you wouldnt want to sit on it for hours, but it folds up small enough to take as overhead luggage on a plane and is really handy. But otherwise there should be plenty of places to hire one. Have fun in Perth! i hope you get a chance to see around more of WA too.
