I've read several posts on here regarding low T levels and how quads and paras are more likely to have lower T levels than AB persons of the same age. I had my levels checked about 2 1/2 months ago and they were on the lower end of the scale. I asked if my primary Doc could prescribe a patch, but he must've thought I was referring to the now non-marketed testoderm and said that he'd prescribe Testim gel. The problem with the gel is that being a quad I can't apply it myself and have a female care giver that did not want to apply it even with gloves. I was able to get my stepdad to put it on but it was still a hassle, plus it left residue on my clothes. I have medicaid and I only had to pay $3.00 for the gel. I am going to ask my urologist about the Androderm patch but was wondering if I would have to pay more for it. Has anyone with medicaid and or medicare tried the Androderm and if so, how much did you have to pay?

Thanks...
