HI,
If anyone needs help to stop smoking try the electronic cigarette.I have smoked twenty a day for years.Since trying the electronic one, i havent had a real cigarette for two months.I feel so much better. First i tried E_LITES they do a starter pack for around £25. There are others around, but i found these to be great.Take a look on there site.Usually i crave for a cigarette, but not on these.

But have you tried to give up the electronic fags?

Seems to me that this method is doomed to fail because you are still dependent on something comforting in the lips. Try the nicotine patches. That way you get the nicotine fix your body is craving, but get out of the habit of playing with something that looks and feels like a fag.

You know how I got rid of the oral fixation . . . . tic-tacs.
They should make me an honorary share holder with all that I've invested. Couple tic-tacs with the patch and you've got yourself a pretty good solution to help you quit.

I cut my smoking down by use of chewing plug tobbacco. I reccomend Brown's "Kicking Mule" brand. Nice and juicy...Be warned: plug is not for sissys..gotta have a cast iron gut and lips/tounge of steel..One good char will turn ya right off ciggs tho....hhhhhmmmmm...

Just remembered GB

Have you ever fell asleep with the patch on?

If not, I have a few stories of what I went through when I had them on, FREAKY 3D dreams which bare reality over any standard dream format.

Don't remember. It was 20 years ago. Don't remember any psychedelic type of dreams though (well, no more than the usual erotic kind :mfrlol: )

Started using patches but had trouble with them falling off. Post injury and I was still the outdoor type. Finally got it my head that I was not going to lose that battle to a cigarette. Haven't smoked in over 15 years. Probably helped that I watched my sister die of lung cancer.

I don't know but she did move me to the spare room the week I started chewing...But if I can put up with her danged Chihuhua (Farts alot) she outer put up with my chewing....Fact is: She has little right to complain...I'm not nearly as windy as the dog, don't snore, chew food with my mouth open, blow my nose on my shirtsleave or scratch private parts in public (very often anyway)and usually use a spittoon instead of the floor ....P. S. After feeding the hogs I always remove my rubber boots before entering the house and walking on the carpet...Not bad for an Okie..
