I am really prone to severe bouts of tennis elbow and RSI in my wrist. This isnt really great when pushing yourself about. Ive had cortisone which doesnt really do that much, and exercises help a bit. Generally rest is the best thing which isnt that possible. It goes for a while and then comes back again. So I was wondering if I could do anything to modify my push technique? Would this put less strain on my wrists? Should I change my rims or try betteer gloves? Im happy to give anything a try really. I was also wondering about moving the wheels on my chair slightly, but Im cautious as I dont want to keep tipping over!!!
Cheers

I've had the tennis elbow thing when regularly lifting the wheelchair into the rear of our estate car over the back seat and cured it only by changing the car! Seriously, I haven't had any such problems with normal pushing. Didn't you say you had looser joints? If so, that might well explain the problem as straining the joints as you push. It might be worth asking a physiotherapist, at your spinal unit if you can, as I bet you aren't the only wone with this problem.
