Group,
I have an interesting question and started to research the question. My question is/was: Does Detrol act as Prednisone by retaining water and thus causing weight gain? I found many sites that say it does cause weight gain, but none to say it acts like the steroid. However, I have been having problems with the baclofen pump; to the point I’m conv3ince the tube has detached from the pump or syringe and I know this has happened before to at least on other member here. The last three adjustments in seven weeks time was 30% each and last week was with an extra 40% at 6 am to prevent morning tightness. No affect for any and perhaps sooner. During my quest I found this http://www.ehealthme.../diverticulitis I admit, this did not go into detail, nor did it specify if it means drugs mixed or separate. A quote, “A study of using Betaseron, Baclofen, Neurontin, Provigil, Detrol, Estradiol for Multiple Sclerosis.” The patient has Eye Discharge, Eye Disorder Nos, Eye Irritation, Fatigue, Hallucination Nos (Hallucinations), Immune System Disorder Nos, Insomnia, Multiple Sclerosis Aggravated, Peripheral Coldness, Pulse Absent, Urinary Tract Infection Nos, Vaginosis Fungal Nos, Weakness.” I can swear to eye discharge, eye irritation, fatigue, insomnia, pulse absent (I was dxed w/ a heart attack in July (possibly due to Friedreich’s Ataxia, but I have doubts), weakness as well as increased bad FDRA days.
