Hi there, I am new here and have been following this forum for some time now. I wanted to share Martin and my true love story with you. We were married on 15th August 2010. Martin and I have known each other for almost 16 years now as we met before his accident through dancing together as professional Latin American dance partners. We have always been good friends until about a year ago when we realised that we couldn't be apart and were meant to be together. Over the years for one or other reason we have lost touch but thanks to modern technology and the wonders of Facebook we found each other again. Martin lives an extremely full life despite having a C3/C4 (complete) SCI. We have very few challenging days, but mostly we enjoy health, happiness and minimal problems. He is independent and driven to succeed, getting around in a 4x4 power wheel chair. In fact he designs, and custom makes these fantastic chairs right here in South Africa and ships them both locally and abroad (Check out: http:///www.radicalmobility.com) He is the love of my life and with his Mom Louise as his caregiver, we intend on enjoying many happy, adventurous years together. I am so proud of him, especially all he has acheived and is still achieving. I am truly honoured to be his wife, and blessed to be spending my life with someone as special as he is.....

Yes, yes, yes, yes and yes. If I remember correctly, in one post I read that you had an ex-wife. See - that is proof you were once capable of love!!:)

Ah poopy........I still have the capability to love....I love to watch children fall over and get hurt, I love to watch the odd documentary on the third world countries to cheer myself up when I'm down, I love it when I wake in the morning and I can't move from a workout, I love it when it hurts when I'm being tattooed but most of all I REALLY love watching butterflies drown in bleach(It makes em all white ya know)...........

Ah LOVE makes the world go around.....Heh heh

Just have a whale of a time. Our photographer did a pre-shoot with us just to get an idea of being creative with wheels. Also, my Martin auctioned me off for our first dance ! My Dad paid good money to have the first dance with me. Genius and FUN!!!
