I was in a car wreck june 19, 08 and since then i've delt with the same type of tingling sensation's. I am a complete T4 and i always feel my legs tingling, its really annoying, but i can't feel anything as far as touch or pain as you already know. It's almost as if i can feel the blood circulating through my body. Sometimes the tingling becomes a throbing pain in one particular spot, for me it was on top of my left foot for about 3 days straight, it even kept me up at night because it hurt so bad. about a month later my upper thigh on my right leg did the same thing. I've just learned to deal with it. I am taking baclofen i started out on 10mg 4 times a day and now i'm up 240mg a day supposed to be 60mg 4 times a day but my spasams a worst at night and early morning. I will take anywhere from 140mg to 240mg first thing in the morning so i can sucessfully bend my legs and actually have them stay in place so i can get in my chair and not have to worry about my abs flipping me backwards. But after i take those in the moring i'm good until the next day.
I also get a real intense tingling sensation when my bladder is getting ready to spasam, i literaly have about 10 seconds to get a catheter and cath before i piss all over myself. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hey,
The tingling and stinging is nerve pain.. you should try some Lyrica or Neurontin.. It has helped some people. It makes me tired so I don't take mine regularly. But after awhile that should pass. I'm a para from T-4 down, From a auto immune disease.. I'm 4yr in so since Aug 06.. Mine has gotten worse over the years but that could be due to my being AI.. I take baclofen for the spasms 10mg 4 times a day also I take Zanaflex 2mg 4 times a day.. I'd ask your doctor about it because Zanoflex has a low dose of zanex. Stress will run havoc on your body.. anytime I get PO'd or upset my stomach down locks up like crazy.. Or I get the thumper effect which drives me insane. I think I could deal with most of it except the burning which is also nerve pain.. It's like I have fire running in my blood..
I'm Sorry I can't help much I actually came across this thread looking for new ideas myself.

Lots of folks swear by marijuana for nerve pain and burning, spasms, etc but it only helped me for such short time periods I would of had to smoke a bale to do much good. Otherwise there is baclofen or nuerotin...Baclofen knocks my stinger into the dirt so not much help and others can advise you on Nuerotin and the other stuff....I've settled on hot baths twice a day to relax the muscles, ibeprofen for pain and valium for all that ails ya. Stretching exersises and the meditaion also helps these conditions...I got used to the burning after a period of time. Kinda like a horse with a new bridle, you'll fight it for a while then it'll become old hat and you'll just ignore it...some folks use opiates for all sorts of pain, including nerve pain, but opiates do mess with your head and cause bad constipation which fires up ones spasticity big time....What works for one may not work for another..

I also have the tingling in the feet and one hand. Its three fingers and the palm that bother me the most and sometimes drive me crazy wherein I run into the bathroom and soak my hand in hot water. I don't know if it helps much but alot has been said about distraction and that seems to help the most. I started taking Baclofen acouple of weeks ago at 1/2 tab (10mg) 3x day and two days ago upped it to 3 10mg a day and it has made me sick (dizzy, nausea. drowsy and headache) and I am just going back to the smaller dose today. I saw a small bit of difference in the spasticity in my leg but not much difference. I walk with a cane and can get around pretty good. I am going to try the botox injections in the hand in the near future and see if that will help. Even tho my injury is not complete, I have also suffered depression and think this is quite normal i n the grief process and now I feel more positive.
