I've had hairy legs and arms most all my life but about 4-5 years after my injury I noticed that the hair on my shins and upper thighs just seemed to disappear (along with quite a bit of muscle tone in my legs). Fifteen years later and my legs are they same. Hair on the back of my calfs and thigh and on the sides of my legs remain, but the bald areas are slicker than a babies bottom. You might think that maybe my pants have rubbed and buffed it away, and if it were only the upper thigh I might agree, but my shins get no constant rubbing or even light touch from either my sweatpants or jeans. I once considered blood-flow, but the rest of my legs are hairy and I had no problems with healing when I had my foot surgeries.

So I'm stumped and was wondering if anyone else had this happen?

BTW, my head hair is super thick and shows no sign of balding.

still mostly blood flow, i wear ted hoes, so they took the hair off pretty quick, no muscle tone nor hair anymore.........

Here's one for ya. Bout twenty years ago I tried growing my hair long. Got to my shoulders and then stopped growing. No matter what I did it would grow no further.
Had my SCI bout three years ago and after I got out of rehab I decided to let it grow. It is now down to the middle of my back and still growing. Problem is, every tome I brush it more hair comes out. I'm probably going bald. Guess I can't win.

when it absolutely, positively, has to be destroyed overnight, call the Marines.
