It's because there were 13 people at the last supper. Me it's one of my lucky numbers - it helps that I'm a confirmed agnostic.

Well, I guess it's rather obvious you guys need some help here. So here goes.

Picture it boys 'n girls, small tropical island somewhere in the south pacific, warm balmy evening, palm trees swaying in the breeze.
A thirteen foot deep pit is dug and lined on the bottom with ashes. Peas are placed around the edge of the pit.
Then comes along "Baboowie the village idiot" hungry as hell and sees all those scrumptious peas.
We all know what happens next, he bends over to take a pea and one of the village children runs up and kicks him in the ash-hole.
Thirteen feet he falls landing head first on the rocks and ashes below.
As it turns out, the fall cures his idiocy. He eventually becomes leader of the village, marries his mother's daughter's older sister and they have one hydrocephalic child after another.
Which is why the number thirteen is concidered so lucky.
Even to this day.

Theres a few reasons 13 is thought to be so unlucky.

Or lucky for some.

Either way its one of those powerful numbers.

There's a Dallas tradition. On any Friday the 13th, you can go to Elm St. Tattoo's located on Elm St. in the down district of Deep Ellum, and get a tattoo of a 13.. and they have a huge range of options for only $13! Its a fun thing if you're into those type of 'things'. I fell victim few years back and now sport an Egyptian 13 on my left hip.

Love the power of the 13!
