Yesterday we were sitting in the garden...for a change there was no cutting east wind,no sound of lawnmowers or children fighting..just us and our cats enjoying a gorgeous evening.
I looked over at my husband just as he was looking at me and caught his eye, it made me think of the first time I realised that I couldn't live without him...
and I felt so happy...............

So what makes YOU happy.

Your idea sounds great! Actually I don't need much as I have cultivated the art of enjoying anything and everything; enjoying every day that comes as just that one day.

Specifically, diinner with teh family; in England, a good ploughmans lunch and beer in the pub's garden; looking out of the house at the blue sky bright sun in the morning, we call it a Fife morning as we have so many.

Yes Kanga.it's funny how the simplest things bring the most pleasure..An Unexpected kindness can have the same effect..or just a phone call from a freind out of the blue..cos their thinking of you...
Who needs to win the lottery to be happy!!!(Oh alright then..but just a couple of million mind)

My kids are growing up fast (14, 17, 19, 22) and what makes me happy is the rare times when EVERYONE is home together. They all appeared, with girlfriends in tow. for my birthday last week. It was wonderful.

Having a good day off roading without breaking me or the landrover, coming home and doing a barbacue and having a drink in the garden in the nice sunshine or a weekend away at a car show with the above. BLISSS.

Cheers lee

Having supper with my family makes me happy.

My daughter works and is finishing 3 years of school and in one class the teacher wanted to know in this busy day and age how many of the class actually sat down in the evening and had dinner with their families. My daughter was the only one who raised her hand.

What makes it even more meaningful right now is that my mom is 85, and because of my daughter's love I'm able to be at home because I'm not an independent para, so our dinner table is blessed.

That makes me happy.

Hi,

One of the things that has made John and I really happy in the last 3 months is this site. Since we have discovered it, we have asked loads of questions, read loads of postings and information and realised that we are not on our own. Your all out there in cyber space, giving us truthful and often much quicker and precise answers than we have had from many doctors, etc. So a very big thank you to all of you.

The other thing that makes me really happy is driving to the coast and watching the waves. We only live 15 minutes from the Heritage Coastline so we are really lucky. We have everything from sandy beaches to really high clifftops and rocky areas all within a 50 mile stretch and we are pretty central to most of it. We love it any weather, calm or really rough. We can sit in the car watching the waves smashing over the rocks or the breakwater wall. We probably don't realise just how lucky we are to have such a beautiful coast line on our doorstep.

What really annoys us is the amount of rubbish we see floating in the sea or just dumped by people who cannot be bothered to take their rubbish home or to the bin, but we won't go into that, as this was about what made us happy.

Well for me it is alot of things that make me happy but one of the most important to me is talking with friedns having them call you come by to see how you are knowing that, to them I am still the same person in their eyes becuse at one point I did fear I would lose all that i held dear for fear they couldn't accept me any more, and also all my friends on here, you all always seem to know the right words for all of us .. So here is a BIG THANKS to you all....................

Happiness for me is my new apartment. It was a long, hard haul moving in here (only 2 1/2 hours drive, but many times) and things are still all over the place, but I'm happy.

Also, school is starting on teh 28th. I'm finally following my dream and getting my masters at 39 years old.

With all of this hard work ahead of me, I couldn't be happier.

Hi Jilly,

Its gone past your bed time again. :)

We like talking to you too.

The sun shining makes me happy, and so does a Friday night as it means no work, and a weekend to relax. (Not that it ever works out like that).
